Last week our CEO Doug Chambers and Director of Product Julian Clayton presented FieldLens at the New York Tech Meetup here in New York City to a crowd of about 900 people. We were particularly thrilled about the invitation because FieldLens is currently the only construction app to have been featured in the 10 year history of the Meetup. Plus, when Doug attended his first Meetup as an audience member a few years ago, FieldLens was just a seed of an idea – it was the Meetup that inspired him to think he could turn his idea for a comprehensive field management platform into a reality. And look where we are today!
The New York Tech Meetup was a great opportunity for two construction industry vets like Doug and Julian to present the unique challenges of jobsite communication to technology world, and explain how FieldLens helps project teams connect more easily. Doug and Julian presented the drawings feature, FieldLens’ centralized newsfeed, media like photos and videos, and much more. Considering the thoughtful questions asked by the audience, we’d say everyone walked away with a whole different perspective on what it means to work in construction! You can check out the FieldLens presentation here (we’re at 1:15:30).
An added bonus for us was that ENR editor Tom Sawyer was in the audience. To read more about FieldLens’ presentation at the Meetup and learn what these types of events mean to the construction industry, check out Tom’s article in ENR.
